Vd Avoird Bloembollen, Lemmer, Holland
Van der Avoird Bloembollen is producing aprox. 50 acres lillies and 50 acres tulips.
The new building (4600 m2) consists of a rinsing hall with open gutter, a drying setup of 22 rows (suited for 6 high), 7 combination stores (total of max. 1250 boxes), a new kettle and cooling installation, 630 kVA transformer, post dry hall and a double loading pit. In the design the choice fell on a L-shaped extension with a fire separation along the existing buildings and both sides of the store block.
Agrofocus adviced from the design stadiumĀ (10 logistic options have passed) and the licensing process onĀ (e.g. enlargement of building block), to the completion and all steps in between, always taking into account the existing buildings and installations.
Koos van der Avoird: “You guys guided us really well and helped us with the agreement of all four contractors, a significant effort. The new buildins are logistic wise super, we only had some complaint about the heating capacity. Due to your interference and research we found out the wrong heater blocks were delivered, but this was solved in an elegant way by ACN.”
Details: energy efficient cooling plant (R507-A), noise absorbing roof with PVC roofing.
